Would like to go for one of these, currently have an Xbox 360 and am very impressed with it but i think the PS3 might be better according to what everyone is saying.

£50 a game is a bit on the steep side though and think i will hold off on buying one for a few months and see if there are any initial problems or faults with them.

Hopefully the price will drop on them as well after the initial rush in buying them is over.

No, £50 deposite for a £425 games CONSOLE, not £50 for one game.....

I must admit, I was tempted to stick £100 on a deposit for a PS3 at HMV last week - they gauranteed a release day delivery/collection.... I don't want the PS3 at all - but with what happened with the Wii, there could be a few quid in getting one and flogging it again

i paid my deposit yesterday, according to the guy i spoke to in game, each game store is getting 100-150 ps3's for launch day, by the time i got there yesterday they had already taken 32 preorders, he said they expected to have sold there full allocation for there branch by tuesday/wednesday. scee have said there is 1 million ps3's coming to europe for launch day, and 220 000 of those are for the uk. chips have sold out of the console on its own, and are only offering packages of the ps3, a media remote and a game, for £500. but im defo getting my console launch day, havnt decided which game to get yet.
