is a normal xbox 360 full hd? i got a premium 360 with no hdmi output, im using it on my tft pc monitor with the VGA HD AV Cable, picture looks good to me

im hoping to get a hd lcd screen soon, would there be much difference if i DID have a 360 elite console with hdmi cable into a hd lcd screen? or would my premium 360 with the VGA HD AV Cable into a hd lcd be basicly the same? or would it be better with the hd cable with the different colour jacks on it (and a small switch on it that switchs from hdtv to tv) that came with my xbox?

hope this reads ok and makes sense?

found this on a amazon write up

xbox360 uses component which can output 720p and 1080i max, or if using the vga 1080p. ps3 uses hdmi which can put 1080p to the tv

so would i be right in saying that with my hd vga cable i can produce the same amount of pixels as a ps3 using a hdmi cable?

 

just found that newer 360 premiums DO come with a hdmi output on the rear

just a case of finding out which is better HD VGA or HDMI

 

was gonna say about the 360 normals now have HDMI anyway

honest answer ... downstairs in our cinema type room i have a 44 inch pionner display monitor and i had my 360 plugged into that when it came out before day one

this was connected though VGA HD lead and at times the normal 5 Analog Connectors ..... the VGA HD was miles sharper etc

got a new tele for the bedroom and thats a Toshiba 42 inch i think and there was no difference between the Elite and the Xbox i had downstairs at all ...

Xbox 360's can run in 1080p mode as there is one game that supports it but it looks miles better on 720p

However i had my ps3 downstairs aswell and that got moved upstairs onto a HDMI and it miles better ... Hope that helps ... and the joys of owning a pc/games shop
