how do i go about capturing an image off my screen. images that dont appear if you use "save pic as" have heard some ppl talk about screen capture but what is it??

 

screen capture is where you capture exactly what is on your screen, not just one window if you have overlapping windows it will take the whole picture as if your taking a photo of your monitor.

To this simply press Alt + Print Screen buttons together and go into paint or any other image program and select paste and your screen capture will be there

Actually, ALT-PrtScr only does a grab of the currently selected window.

If you press PrtScr on its own it does a grab of the whole of the monitor so to speak.
