Default bluetooth USB dongle thingy

People just bought a bluetooth thing for my comp so i can transfer files music etc to my nokia phone

Dongle installed correctly and is apparently working but my phone can't find any other bluetooth devices, and if i select a music file and go to Send To i have no option to use Bluetooth ..

Am i missing something simple?
I can't work out what else i need to do
Advice would be appreciated

Have you gone into the options on bluetooth and set your pc's visibility to "on"?

you cant just plug the dongle in and expect it to work, gotta install software first
