Default Help needed by a PC wizard please.

I'm running Norton on my PC and I've just done a backed up as it prompted me to, Know i made a quick note of the file number, When i search for it i found previous back up's which come to 80+GB, Can i just delete the previous 1's and keep the lastand may be the very first one.

Any help or advice would be apperciated

depends on the type of backup mate. If its a full backup then yes, but it may be an incremental backup procedure where only the new stuff gets backed up. is it affecting disk space?
