When i play a movie through windows media player or divx you can just about se the picture in the backround. It is very dark. But f i open the file with quicktime it is fine. Is this a software/setting problem or is it something that could be wrong with the graphics card? These are files that used to work with windows media player so its not a file that isnt compaitble with it.
Thanks
Thanks
Upgrade windows media player to version 11 if not already done so, or download and install winamp from www.winamp.com

Can't take screenshots of video content in WMP as the video image comes directly from the CPU, not from within the WMP programme
Infact you can't do it in anything that doesn't have a "capture" feature - like WinDVD or VLC....
VLC plays pretty much most things, but as said, a decent codec pack (like the K-Lite one) is a must to get the best out of everything...
Then go to your file type associations and set all the movie/video files to open with VLC and you're sorted
