Hi guys Ive had a bit of an idea about starting up a website. The site would involve people posting "profiles" and pictures to my site (a bit like a basic myspace sort of thing). Also the ability to search profiles would be nessasary!

How would I go about creating an advanced website like this? What sort of coding is used? Is it a job for the pros?

Are there any website I could find out more about these sort of sites?

I would probably do it with php/MySQL as its what I know, although to could do it with the .NET platform on Windows Servers this type of site however would have major bandwidth demands if popular and would very likely require a decent hosting platform such as a VPS or dedicated.

Hope you got deep pockets, to do this well is going to need financing.
