This is the PCI card that came out of my "ghetto HTPC";




Says "SCSI (little diamond shape) SE" on it below the connector on the front of the card....

On the PCB itself, the black connector is much like an IDE connector, but a fair bit longer, and as a result, has more pins...

Whats it do?

I think there pretty much only used on servers now, for connecting external arrays and tapedrives etc etc

It's a SCSi card, some hard drives were used on scsi, tape drives etc, you don't need it so flog it on e-bay and get a decent camera

I still use SCSI In a HotSwap RAID 5 using 10,000rpm Seagate's Cheetah drives.
I would run them through prefrence unless cost makes them unviable
