I went on holiday for 1 week leaving my laptop on the laminate floor at home, when i came home to a cold house(not freezing etc), turned the laptop on and it was bleeping, started running slow, when i try access web pages it says navigation cancelled, i cant even open up Start menu to get to programs or shut down sometimes. Msn chat is a no no too, could it be the cold thats done this ? It was all fine before my holiday.

The laptops an Acer Ferrari if it makes a difference, ta.

 

Bleeping error's usually mean a fault of some kind. How many bleep's are there. Leaving it on the floor wasn't the smartest move to be perfectly honest with you mate. Is it still doing it now ? Can't see how it would be a cold / condensation issue really.

 

It's a ferrari you say? well my wife's old fiat bravo used to have loads of electrical problems when it was cold, so you might be suffering the same issues.
