Default Microsoft Vista problems - Help!

Right guys, just brought a new PC running VISTA. Have set me and the other half as users. I now have a couple of problems:

1. Have set up my Broadband connection using a Speedtouch 330 modem with Wanadoo. Everytime I try to connect the prompt box comes up without my password in place but my user ID is there. This wont let me connect until I enter the password. I have looked into my settings and my password is shown there but not on the prompt box when double clicking the Speed touch Icon?
2. Can connect to the internet on both mine and her side however, if I open more than one web page on my side if I close it one of them down it closes all the other open pages and displays a 'Windows is closing down' prompt and then re opens at my home page.

I am probably being thick but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Chris.

However it doesnt do it on the misses's side?

NTL haven't had training on Vista yet, so I wouldn't hold your breath about ringing your ISP

simple solution uninstall Vista....your a frigging beta tester for the first year until all the new supported hardware drivers and applications come out.

you might as well run linux for all the issues you will get during the first year
