currently ive got an ancient creative 5.1 sound card

if i upped it to say a audigy 2 card would there be any difference from just the 4 speakers and sub on my desk ?

also sata controller cards, my motherboard has got 2 sata ports on it, would a 4 port sata controller card piss windows xp or the rest of the system off ie conflicts or anything ?

Pretty sure the Audigy 2 range supports 5.1 and 7.1 output, so you should notice quite a bit of difference...
