Default passwords?

i'm going on holiday in a few days and i don't want my personal stuff to be looked at while i'm away
is there any way i can put a password on a certain section of the computer, say one of the hard drivers so that i can move everyting there and lock it away?

cheers

Just put a password on BIOS......that way, no-one can use the computer until you get back!

Alternatively, if other people have to use the computer, move all of your stuff onto a spare hard-drive and remove it from the computer until you get back.

other peole still need to use the computer, and removing a hard drive is a possibility but my removeable hard drive is one of them usb things and i've not got the space to put all the stuff onto it and not enough time to make back ups of all 80 gb either

i can ditch a lot of the stuff but my brother is one of these computer geeks so i'm loathe to ask him in case he leaves a big back door open so he can look at stuff, i'm sure i haven't turned off the remote access option from something or the other because a little red box keeps popping up with his name onit in thebottom corner, but being the technophobe that i am, i'd rather find a way to do this from an outside source

oh well, if worse comes to worse i'll put everything on a few discs and delete the rest

cheers
