AVG is the worst virus scanner in the world!!!!!
says things are viruses when there aint any..and you aint got no chance of removing 'em
hence the annoying pop ups
its just that avg is pure fookin pants
i had the same thing many moons ago thats why i got rid of it

did I say HE didn't have a virus!!!no its just that you thought i did
you already helped him with the link you posted
i don't intend to start a flamer btw

im talking thru past experience on my machine..just stating as i was in a rush for a ciggy and a brew....
or i would have said "dont worry bout that m8 its not a virus,Dan B dont know what the fuck hes talkin about"i aint pig shit stoopid...even though my punctuation and presentation of my posts are very lacklustre
i've had the exactly same sorta thing many moons ago. annoying popups that wont go away even tho you tell it to do its job,and it dont do it
the link to the virus you posted, the virus is over a YEAR old
it cant even protect it's self from a fossilized turd of a worm! its not even a brand new compiled variant
it can find em but can't do shit with 'em
Hence my point why avg is shit, always has been and always will be
the freebie one is definately shite
same as ewido(which is now a member of the grisoft group) it makes out a cookie is an attempt to hack yer computer

LONG STORY SHORT
AVG dont know its fuckin head from its arse.

i know avg is on the freebie list...but its a bunch of old arse fruit

or

killing RDRIV.SYS how to remove it manually

to quote someone on the BBSost subject:- (virus)killing RDRIV.SYS was easier than I thought (...but not for avg a year ago and certainly NOT NOW!!!)
http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,13661530

"There is a variant of this "rdriv.sys" virus that I removed from a client's PC today. I've hunted dozens of sites for removal of this stubborn virus, and none of the methods worked in my case. I did find some of the files listed in various removal methods, but the damned "rdriv.sys" kept spawning (Grisoft's AVG Antivirus identified this thing instantly upon startup, but was unable to remove it. Neither could Norton, Panda, Trendmicro, etc. etc and ETC!)"

Mate have you tried using this online site http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

It will scan your pc for virus's, Trojans and what not and it will remove them for free, it does work because ive used it myself, give it a try
