ive got a sony ericson and its got what is known as the White Screen Of Death (WSOD) basically it wont turn on unless its plugged into the charger and when it is plugged in its either got a bright white screen that kinda flickers every so often but does nothing or its off with a red light either illuminating or flashing on the on/off button.

any ideas on how to fix it?

Only thing I could suggest is that if you get a screen visible try and do a firmware upgrade.

If not, then a call to SE Customer Care and see what they say.

Or take it back to where you bought it and see what they say?
