For some obscure reason, I am getting this message when I try to open one folder of pics

 

Only thing I can suggest, is right click on it, left click on properties, then ensure it's not read only, click on the advanced tab, and check some settings there

I have found out why I can't open it

I had been trying to do what you said and was getting nowhere, so then I clicked on one of the pics in the folder and got this..... the 'other' computer it mentions is my bloody laptop
