whats the best free software to use for burning cd/dvds??

I had been using nero 6 but its stopped working for some reason. iv tried downloading nero 7 but cant get it to work

please bear in mind I'm an absolute idiot with computers, lol

Nero 6 is still the best IMO

 

Where can i download it from?? iv stil got nero on cd but the comp wont accept it.
