just wondering if anyone knows what kinda spec you would need to be able to comfortably run it? ive heard most machines that are 2-3 years old should be able to cope with it but some of the features may have to be turned off but if you have a fair spec pc then it should run it perfectly.

Im aware its in the very early stages but just thought somone might have heard something "on the grape vine"

I think "vista" is just another code name for longhorn

Its the next version of windows that microsoft are making anyway, so call it what you will!

 

I've got a couple of beta versions of longhorn, which was meant to be the next XP

Should be the same as XP with regards to system specs.

 

depends if you want to run all the nice funky visual tweaks or not... lots of options were unavailable in the version we have here until we chucked a few hundred quids worth of graphics card in the pc!

 

Let everyone else find out all the problems and bugs. I would stick with XP until Vista is well out of beta!

That said, that might be a fancy version with extra plugin's or something as after another search, it also looks quite similar to XP, just more "modern"
