SOLD Supercharged 2000cc Zetec Dax Rush SOLD
My Dax rush is a long cockpit model, allowing people up to 6'5" to fit in the car comfortably due to the cockpit being 3" longer than the 'normal' Rush, and the seats 2" lower. My Rush is fitted with high back seats on adjustable seat runners, this allows anyone from 5' to 6'5" to fit comfortably.
Engine
The engine is a black top Zetec-R engine from a Focus with a Turbo Technics RS002 Supercharger running 7psi maximum. The engine has done approximately 20k miles from new.
The supercharger gives the car a very good power and torque band, no 'lag' is experianced and the power delivery is very progressive making the car easy to drive.
A custom made Aluminium intercooler cools the charge from the supercharger before it enters the custom made aluminium inlet manifold.
The inlet manifold is fitted with DTA 330cc Pico injectors, DTA fuel rail and DTA fuel pressure regulator. The car uses a Cosworth throttle body. The coil pack on the engine has recently been changed and a set of Magnecor high performance ignition leads have been fitted too.
The engine has a Raceline big wing, shallow baffled sump to prevent oil surge under heavy acceleration and deceleration.
The car produced 189.9bhp and 176.2 lbs/ft of torque at the rear wheels when it was remapped in September at John Noble Motorsport in Castlefield (Map to show results) running just 7psi, Turbo technics regulary run these superchargers at 11psi plus.
The engine management is DTA E48 fully mapable ECU, the cable, instruction book and latest map files are supplied with the car. This ECU is excellent and the car runs very well using this setup.
The engine has an oil cooler and a custom made Pace Products radiator to keep temperatures down, fitted to both the intercooler and the radiator is a large electric fan.
The engine has a custom made 4-1 exhaust manifold, and a stainless steel repackable side pipe currently producing 94db @ 4500rpm.
Chassis
The kit was purchased in 2000 and the car was SVA'ed in 2001. Since SVA it has completed just over 3300miles.
The chassis was powder coated by DJ Sportcars (Manufacturer) on purchase.
The gearbox is a MT75 5sp gearbox with a cable clutch mechanism running a 3.62 open rear differential.
The car has 5 stud hubs all round and disc brakes.
NTX uprated coilover are fitted both front and back.
The front wishbones were chromed as an option when purchased
Dedion rear suspension
Interior
The car has DJ sportscars high back seats in Black/Yellow vinyl. As mentioned previously these seats are on runners to allow forward/backward movement.
The car has 4pt Willans harnesses with shoulder pads
The steering wheel is a 3-spoke Mountney steering wheel, fitted to a Sierra steering column (New) which allows self canceling indicators, and all other main electrical operations on the stalks.
Gauges fitted to the car are VDO Speedometer, Tachometer, Oil Pressure, Oil Temperature, and coolant temperature. A Racetech fuel gauge is fitted.
The car has a heater/demisted fitted.
Grey 'luxury' carpets are fitted in the cockpit
Exterior
Chrome Yellow Gelcoat Panels
Stainless Steel overcentre bonnet catched with R-clip securing pins
Quick release nosecone
Wide rear arch option
Chrome Square headlamps, cycle wing brackets and suspension arms option
Image 3-Piece Split Rim alloy wheels.
Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres all round, lots of tread. 225/45/R16 at the front, 245/45/r16 at the back
The nose cone has an additional air duct for the radiator, and the bonnet is vented.
The large (legal) number plate is removable (Clip On)
Misc
Registered on a G age related plate (Easier to insure and emissions at MOT time)
No Weather gear
Clifford 'Eagle' alarm system fitted
The car is registered with the DROC (Dax Rush Owners Club)
Weight approx 700kgs
Small number of stone chips on the front faces of the rear arches, only viable when looking directly at them from 2ft away or closer. Stone guards would be recommended to the new owner (Avalible from Dax). Very commen problem with all of these types of cars.
Valuation certificate from Daxcars is supplied
Lots of reciepts from build
Supplied with a indoor car cover for keeping dust off in the garage
Runs on Super Unleaded
If you would like to view the car this is possible, but any driving will be done with me driving, and no one else, and this will only be possible on good weather days.
Genuine reason for sale, house purchase with garage fell through, now looking to move into a house with a driveway only, forcing reluctant sale.

cant believe this hasnt sold, looks fantastic, no doubt it goes like fook and a realistic price. Just the thing I was looking for last september when me and the other half were looking for a track day toy but we bought a mk1 RS2000 and started a rebuild on that.......if that was complete I would sell it and buy the Dax
