Default 205GTI with MI16 engine ANYONE WANNA VIEW IN ENGLAND?

selling my puggy because its cossie time again. i honestly dont know if im or

this car has been a dream since day one and is maybe my favourite car ive owned!considering ive had an rst,3 door and a saff cos thats sayin summat!

I was going to keep it as a run about because i really dont like the thought of selling her but i'm going to be strong and let her go
I cant justify havin the cossie, motorbike, new baby, buyin a house AND another car thats the ONLY reason im selling

anyways here she is:

spec:
originally a 1992 1.9 8v GTI (so has rear discs as standard)
MI 1.9 16v engine(which was not long overhauled i believe)
Full MI loom so its NOT an electrical nightmare with chopped looms!
Better spec MI ecu which allows normal unleaded if you wish
K+N cone
Magnex exhaust
Proper shortened exhaust manifold so the bulkhead has not been battered to fit as can be the way!
front strut brace
bilstein shocks all round with lowered torsion bar
1.6 gti gearbox which gives shorter ratios and impressive acceleration
push button start which eliminates potential ignition problem that puggys can be prone to
cat 1 alarm with certificate
seperate second immobiliser
gti door kick plates and mats
stealth shelf with 6x9 speakers fitted
some sort of upgraded front speakers
cd headunit fitted but its not the best but tunes still sound pretty good with speakers all round!
4 near new tyres,2 brand new fitted couple thousand miles ago
power steering from the MI too

also comes with these parts UNFITTED yet:
206 gti calipers and discs complete with brackets to fit straight on.braided hoses and a brand new larger master cylinder.Sorry i dont know size of discs but i could probably measure them or do a google search
i hadnt fitted these yet because i was waiting till the car needed new discs and pads because to be honest standard brakes aint so bad.i havent tracked it or anything so didnt need better brakes.

also have 4 unfitted 1.9 alloys in PERFECT condition.they are the lighter weight version of the standard alloys that were speedlines i think.look identical tho.

car comes with STACKS of history and receipts .the old owner was meticulous with the car and its credit to him!has all the old mot's too.

MI engine is 160 bhp as standard and when i had it on the rollers at AVA it made 140bhp@wheels which is pretty spot on.car goes very well and is surprisingly quick because of the size/weight of it.

The car has been a dream the whole time ive had it.all ive had to replace were 2 perished rubber fuel hoses and a fucked fuel pressure regulator which i replaced about a month ago with brand new item from peugeot.car starts first time everytime and is perfect for cruisin about in or havin fun down the back roads.

car is EXCELLENT on fuel and usually get about 70 miles per £10 of unleaded for the performance i think thats damn good!obviously you can make a dent in that if mincing about but its still not bad.

car is taxed till end of march 2006 and MOT until 29th odd march 2006.this year it sailed through with 2 front tyres, headlight adjustment and securing the spare wheel well because i dont carry a spare.tester commented how the car was in stunning condition and excellent underneath.

she's a brilliant car to use as a runabout and would be an excellent track toy!strip her out and off you go after fitting the big brakes!

think ive covered everything but any questions just ask.If you want a second opinion ask Lewis B19 TRB because he originally viewed the car for me in bristol before i bought it.or ask marty Dumped because he's insured on it too

Looking for £2000 ovno. dont want to sell for silly low money because its not a financial reason im selling really.

im in aberdeen btw but could travel at a cost or if timing was right i have a cossie to collect in southern england at end of august so could deliver

cheers

btw thats a 205 automatic bonnet which has the extra bulges and looks well smart

and the car is obviously still registered as a standard 8v so is quite cheap to insure

Chop,

Very nice looking car.

A few questions:
Whats the milleage, who did the conversion, what was the milleage on the engine when fitted, what was the overhall how many miles has it done since. Finally whats the bodywork like, looks very nice in the photo. Allways wanted one and may know someone who would be interested. Forgot, how long have you had it. Sorry about all the questions but genuine interest.

Just so you know

The standard 205 gti brakes will be 247mm

If there standard 206 gti brakes then there 266mm

If there of the newer 206gti 180, then the brakes are 285mm, and wont fit under standard 1.9 15's

The gti 180 brakes will fit under standard 15inch rims.

So yours could be 180's. Post a pic if you want to know for sure.

Good looking 205 by the way

I looked @ it for chopper when he bought it! Must say its the best conversion I have seen! & a excellent car to go with it!

Very nippy!

Previous ownner to chopper had treated the car to everything it needed when it nedded it as Im sure chopski has done!

For 2k your getting some fookin cheap cheap fun!

righto here are some pics i took today
seein her look so good doesnt help me want to sell it

Thought id look for any bad parts to be as honest as possible and it wasnt easy!
this was the only real "bad" point i could find.wee bit of paint peeling at top of drivers door.rest of car is excellent condition.

Now here are all the unfitted parts that are coming with the car

sorry dunno how i made this black and white
its copper brake lines.

i think thats enough because i posted quite a few
but want everyone to see the condition before being worried about travelling to view etc
believe it or not there are a few more i could show any prospective buyers

hi mate, what are these like consumption wise, as i would be using it as an everyday car to and from work (70 miles)

also what, if anything, are prone to breaking etc?

any idea est power?

stu cant you read?

check the first post

power was 140@wheels on AVA rolling road and i have the graph to prove

consumption is brilliant as far as im concerned.if you dont have too heavy a right foot then you can see 210miles for a £30 fill up of unleaded!
I've seen 300 miles to a tank on a motorway run too!thats shit hot considering 70mph=just under 4k revs because of the 1.6 box

fook knows what breaks because its been ACE with me.i'll repeat because you maybe missed this too ......ive replaced 2 perished fuel hoses and a leaky fuel regulator and thats it

any more Q's then fire em over...AFTER you re-read the post lol
