awrite folks.defo gona sell her as i aint getting the use.only done four miles in six weeks.
i traveled to london for this car fae scotland and havent been let down so far!

engine
1.6 with low comp pistons.only dun 5000 miles
pace cooler
hybrid turbo only running 10psi (stil enough torque to pull your arm off)
pace oil seperator
full stainless mongoose system
brand new radiator
cossie fuel pump
loads of under bonnet chrome
new samcos just bought
suspension
konis all round
brakes
cossie discs up front with cossie rear disc conversion
wheels
escort cossie wheels
interior
mint 90 spec with boost gauge on A pillar.four spoke rs steering wheel.
subs and amp in boot.
exterior
full respray less than a year ago with reciept
cut out front bumper
dtm mirrors
de handled passenger side
back num plate is back to original position insted of where it is shown in photo.
got over 4000 in reciepts and a shed load of photos fae bare shell rebuild.
car will cum with years mot and tax til christmas
got a few things to do to it afore it will be ready like front wheel bearing and get a jacking point cover.came off sumwhere
car aint running at its full potential as av only got it at 10 psi
want bout 2500 ono for the car folks.
plate is back to original position now

yip thats rite folks.its 99% rs but an xr3 on logbook.thats why its so cheap.if it wiz rs on log book ad want bout 3500 grand for it due to its great condition.thanks for the gid comments guys .front plate isnt legal tho av got new legal plates in the garage anyway.sorry imaloverofcars its either a cossie or a low miles rs im going for.got a gid new job so can afford to splash out

yeh i know mate.couple of other xr3's converted for sale on the site.dont see the problem.mite as well the most of a good shell,the car needs to be seen,whole lot of car for a good price.

Great looking car Iv'e got to say I REALLY dont see the problem with it being a 3i shell, I mean about 99% of RS's on the road will of had there engine removed/replaced at some point in there long life and as can been seen from the pic's this car is obviously been done correctly and very well looked after. All I see is that your getting a very nice car for not much money grab it while you can

Well, I'm going to put all my bits into a mint 90 spec XR3i.
As much as I love the XR2. I just can't get a decent intercooler, or uprated turbo parts for the XR2.
Ah well. Good luck with the sale it's a gorgeous car!

hi mate its dave who u bought the car from {the bloke who built it} if it helps this chap bought this car from me about a month after i had just built it with fresh paint and using mint parts if not new to complete i had only done about 80 miles in it when he bought it from me so it wasnt even run in the car was minor things away from being concourse and buy the looks of it still is there was no rot any where on this car as i searched high and low for the best shell poss to do this conversion with. all the bits from my old rs turbo were used nothing remaind from the xr3i ie loom /fueltank/dash /although they are the same i even repaired the loom and re taped it in blue tape which was bought from samco.i am a ford mechanic and have only ever owned and driven rs turbos and cossies and to be completely honest was 100% gutted when i sold it and if i dindt have two cossies and it was closer i would buy it back without even thinking twice the description of the car doesnt do it justice as there is so much detail on this car and if u have any questions about this car you should ask them as u wont be dissapointed i assure u as there is loads of stuff on this car and i think it is going cheap to so grab yourself a proper motor .its pukka unique and deffo mint

to haz 87 what i did was bought a 12v map light [type r] from halfords on a flexi shaft and wired it to the original wires from the number plate light i then drilled a hole in the bumper and had the shaft stick out the bottom of the plate and just bent it up facing the number plate pukka one rear number plate light it even had a switch on it to change from white light for obvious reasons and then a blue light for show time hope that helps . ps sorry to stevenebm i feel like im hijacking your post but only trying to help mate. cheeRS

lovely looking car m8 personally i wouldn't give a shit about it being a 3i either i mean i have aq plate turbo i bought it cause it had all the main things done to it and it's something i can build on relatively cheapley(plus i'm learing stuff as i do mostly all of the work on the car myself)nah m8 if that was a rs you would get a lot more than Ł3,500 for it ...you should just keep it an really go to town on it...

cheers boys.thanks bailey 1,will get a copy of the photos your rebuild and get them posted to you,you still at same as address as on log book,as bailey 1 says the photos are good but the car has to be seen and driven,cant hear the engine running and an excellent sound fae the exhaust,the way a turbo should be.

This confused me though.......
Thought the looms were totally different as the 3i was EFi while the RST was MFi? If not I have paid a lot too much in recent years having a convertible 3i done to RST.

to k&j motors hi mate the loom came from my s2 turbo as did the dash and fuel tank bumpers kit and spoiler what i was getting at was the fact that i had changed everything to turbo spec from my turbo doner car.if this helps all mk 4 looms inside are the same the management looms are different but unlike fiestas which use a multiplug to separate the looms mk 4 escorts dont they are hard wired i have done conversions on to many turbos fom cabbys to opick ups to vans and i have done it both changing complete looms or chopping out what i dont need and replacing it with what i do need . hope that helps ya mate
