Focus rs mk1
Focus Rs number 3937
I purchased this focus rs in May last year after selling my escort cosworth. When I got it the car had just turned 72k. The car has performed faultlessly since I have owned it and has had 2 minor services (May last year, march this year) and recently a major service when the headgasket was replaced. It has now covered 84k and has service history up to 43k (2009). The car is in very good condition but has the usual stone chips to the front and a little scab of rust bubbling on the corner of the boot handle and on the drivers side rear arch. When I got the car checked out at a local tuner to make sure it was running properly the operator of the rolling road managed to knock a tripod over and it hit the drivers door and has scratched it. The owner of the business said he would get it repaired for me but so far has failed to sort it out. Other than that the body work is very clean with no dents or scratches on the other panels. The interior is mint with no tears or rips to the alcantara. Only modification being a heater vent mounted boost gauge (not fitted in pics). It has had a black carpet fitted at some point and has matching ford racing floor mats.
The engine is very quiet and has never used a drop of oil. It has been modified and is running a john frs hybrid turbo, forge actuator, primary designs tubular manifold, decat and full system, AE base map with tuna hybrid turbo map, Roose boost hoses. The suspension is standard shock absorbers with H+R 25mm springs which gives a nice stance but still a comfortable ride. I've just fitted new Performamce friction brake pads
and had 4 new Bridgestone potenza's fitted as well, the alloys are all straight and not buckled but the paint work is not great on them, I think they have been refurbished by a previous owner or done poorly by a professional.
When I got the car I only got one 3 button key and a spare normal key. Unfortunately someone stole the key so I've had all new locks and keys fitted, I ordered a new fob from ford and had 2 new keys programmed and the old keys removed from the pats system.
As you probably know these cars are appreciating at a good rate and are a good investment. I've priced the car at £10k ovno due to it needing the bits of paint sorting. There was only 2 mk1 frs' for sale for less when I wrote this advert and they are both on the cat register
I may be interested in a p/ex with something interesting/old etc
