Default Ford escort si mk6 with fiesta rs turbo 1.8 zvh engine

MK6 Ford Escort with a ZVH RS Turbo engine. 11 months MOT, 6 months tax so ready to drive away. Still registered as a 1.8 Si. Looks standard but clearly not as soon as the turbo spools and the dump valve goes off. Real sleeper.

The bodywork is in very good condition and still red NOT pink! few age related marks and bubbling coming through on bottom of tailgate.
Good Bits

1.8 Zetec block all work needed done by Lancaster engines i.e oil gallery's blanked off breathers and oil return drill and tapped etc with new rings bearings gaskets seals oil pump carbon fibre water pump adapter plate 1300 cam tensioner.

Stage 3 fiesta rs turbo cylinder head with Piper 285 cam. Adjustable vernier, bit of a rattle from one tappet for about 20 seconds or so, cam makes it a bit laggy but more driveable at low speed but once its on boost it really shifts. According to the previous owner the engine was rebuilt 2 years ago then fitted into the Escort. A brand new speedo was fitted to the car when the engine was fitted and has only covered 3500 miles since the rebuild.

Felpro 2,5 mm head gasket using high tensile steel head bolts to eliminate head lift unlike stretch bolts

Lightened fly wheel with uprated clutch and diesel gearbox

Fiesta RS Turbo ecu with 195 super chip

Biege 701 injectors

Walbro 255 fuel pump

Garret t3 recon turbo .31 acuator

Bailey dump valve

82 degree thermostat and 88 degree fan switch

AIRTEC large front mounted intercooler

Single box straight through exhaust (not too loud)

RS 2000 shocks and springs

Focus ST 170 brakes 300mm front, 286mm rear so discs and pads all round

17 inch 5 spoke alloys wheels with Yokohama Prada spec 2 tyres all round

Half leather interior some signs of wear but no rips or tears

Oil pressure gauge, water temp gauge and boost gauge mounted in a home made plate in the dash

Bonnet raisers

Heated front screen that works

Electric windows

Central locking

Sunroof

HID 8000k headlights

Not so good bits:

Turbo has slight lag then the boost kicks and it goes! Been told the car needs a rolling road set up to sort the lag but perfectly usable as it is with more than enough power.

Slight bubbling on bottom of tailgate and a tiny bit on one rear arch (no rust on the body) crack in rear bumper see pic.

Sills have been welded in the past

Occasionally a problem trying to start then engine when it's hot as the starter motor gets hot because of the exhaust down pipe right next to it, give it 5 mins and it's fine (this is a common problem on all rs turbos so ideally the down pipe will want heat wrapping to solve this, simple cheap job)

Slightly untidy under the bonnet with wires etc just been picky, but everything is there and working!

Paint a little tatty near the side skirts

Just to add, I'm still awaiting the logbook but have new keepers as i recently bought the car so still waiting. I will forward the logbook to the new owner as soon as it arrives.

I can't think of anything else to say at the moment but if you have any questions please get in touch text or call 07863931289

£1500
