No doubt its lovely, but why 90-spec it if you're gonna keep the old rear boot sticker? Looks weird IMO, plus if you're keeping standard wheels then it should defo have spot lights for the completely standard look.

I reckon you'd see 6k if you waited long enough for someone that knows about these cars and wants something as special as this... otherwise I think you'd be looking at c5k to be honest.

Cheers,
Grant

Yea I know what you mean Carlo.. I think it kinda needs to be one or the other too, full 90-spec inside and out with a private reg, or full 88-spec inside and out with original D-reg.

I think it's probably worth the same with pictures as it is without... Sorry.
On a serious note, I'm far from an S2 registrar but comparing to what i've seen for sale justnow I'd agree with the valuations above.

What a car is worth, and what a car will actually sell for are two very different things.

To be honest i think you might struggle to sell it for more than 6k , i may be wrong but the trouble is at that price and above your into pretty decent saff cossie money and most people would rather have a cossie.Sure your not going to get a concourse saff for 7k but still a nice one.Would have to be a total s2 nut to pay that money.

That is a gorgeous car. I think to the right person it would be worth about Ł7k but it's a matter of selling it at the right time ie when that right person is actually looking for a car. Having said that i would still say it's worth Ł6-6.5k.

Thanks for the good comments lads.

As with the older decal on the back its basically because i like the style of it compared to the other, same for the rear spoiler and interior but in saying that i do like the 88spec interior more and more every day but finding a mint set is hard.

Beefy am not selling it its the last thing i could ever imagine doing !

Its a beauty , but 14 owners and totally non original i think anything over 5k would be a bonus .

Whats the history folder like ?
And did it ever get remapped ?

Steve
I didnt get no history with it when i bought it off me mate, but i have all the receipts for all the parts i bought coming to 9k.

I personally dont think the amount of owners has anything to do with it due to it having a complete new resto build, so its basically a brand new car again.

The mapping will be done next year as the weather is crap and other commitments, it will be a solid 200bhp + car with no lag at all. It drive's very well as it is.

Thanks,

Ric

Thanks for the good comment milesy

RSPSTEVE wouldn't dream of selling it for 5k mate, couldn't sell it at all any way.

The thread was just for people to give there opinion on how much the car is worth so i can get a rough idea, its worth alot more to me than 5k infact 10k wouldn't but you this car lol.

I'll let someone build one to the same spec and condition (brand new) for 4k, it will never happen. seen bags of shit sell for 4k in this so called fantastic condition ! untill you start taking them apart and find that there rotten in places.

I understand what your saying lol.

Why have you not found a mint condition s2 yet for 5k? depending on spec.

I'll tell you why... because you wont find one and people wont sell knowing there worth more, am talking about minty mint s2's with nice/ big spec with all areas covered to be reliable.

Rant over lol.

giving my opinion you started a thread asking what other members think your car is worth and thats what i think.also the red H reg im talking about(other members on here must have seen it)was a total minter.here the link to it tell me yours is worth the same money as this?i think not.

http://www.seriesoneturbo.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18774

also another H reg white for sale on this site 56,000 miles 1 previous owner look at the thread beats your car hands down Ł5500.

before you spit the dummy out a said it before you posted what do you think your car is worth and i have said what i think if you dont like the answers dont ask the questions.

Aint spat me dummy out at all pal, Its just that half the parts alone come to ove 4k never mind the rest of the car.

Dont want to talk about other people cars due to i dont want to ruin there sale thread but i totally understand what your saying about the one owner and low miles and it is a fantastic example, But people who are in the market for s2's original or modded in exceptional condition will have to dig deeper than 5k never mind 4k !

You'll see it at the shows next year then you will agree that it aint a 4k car by the slightest, do you have a s2?

I think your car looks amazing.
Unfortunately you will never get back what you spend on a car i've learnt that.
I have a series 2 valued by paul cox at Ł3750 and it owes me 8k if I ever sold it I would only ask for 4k -4.5, you have to be realistic.
If I did not have mine and your was for sale I would not pay more than 6k for it, but no service history and amount of owners does mean alot to some poeple.
Love them in red looks gleaming

If you actually bothered to look at the white h reg and the red h reg (my friends until he sold it) they are both standard bar a couple of modifications, this car is not standard and has quite a lot of decent modifications and is in immaculate condition so i dont think you can compare the 2 or 3 cars, and if you havent got anything nice to say about someones car then dont say anything

Indeed - the potential buyers of these two said cars are two entirely different minded people IMHO, and what one will pay for car A means sod all what tuther will pay for car B.

OP - thats a mint car, well done - it must be one of the family!

Thank you for the positive comments lads,

gavt123 your s2 is a time warp mate and is very special s2 regarding the originality and condition which is nice to see and i will be looking for it at the shows next year When I bought mine it was standard and i had plans to make it mint in standard form, but when people take you out in quick modded rst's I soon changed my mind lol which is why the car ended up being modded pluss I wanted to upset newer cars on the road

thanks mate not got alot to do haha just odds and sods and abit of cleaning here and there.

you wont find many cars like rics in that condition and you couldnt buy a half decent one and get it to that standard without spending a small fortune on it.
