Here forsale is my S1 Escort RS turbo. I have just spent a fair bit of money getting both sills replaced and a new front cross member fitted, common fault i am told. The car runs superb recent rolling road said it was running 150 bhp (flywheel) and showing 170 psi on all cylinders, the engine was rebuilt a few years back. The bodywork is in very good condition for the age although there are some small rust spots starting to come through the paint. The underneath is nice and solid now, it went into a bodyshop and spent a month to get both the sills repaired/replaced and a new front crossmember fitted. It was also undersealed to try and keep the rain away for a good few years to come. The interior is in decent condition for its age, the passenger speaker cover is damaged but another can be picked up cheap enough. The dashboard has the usual cracks but not too bad.

Bad points:

The car currently is without MOT but i assure you it will not take alot to get it through.
It doesnt have a proper ford parcel shelf, it has some attempt at a steath shelf but it isnt very good.
No cd player/radio


All in All a decent S1 Turbo, I doubt it will ever be a concours car but its very far from a knackered one.

I am thinking two prices here one with MOT and one without

£3000 Without MOT

I would get it through an mot mate, people will be wary of buying without as will wonder what needs doing.

Will help the sale, would also take some more detailed shots as there are lots of bits on these people will want to see.

Looks clean though.

wing looks ok, think the bonnet needs the adjustable rubber stopper winding up a little on the slam panel so that when the bonnet shuts it sits level.

would need better pictures to tell for sure, but the guy has paid his membership to advertise, so really if you not looking to buy, then perhaps send the guy a pm with your concerns as to any issues or not post at all rather than fill his sale thread.

 

negative comments please keep to yourselves, for mot it needs (in my opinion)

1. Sidelight bulb holder and connector
2. Possibly anti roll bar bushes on rear
3. Possible emmisions as they were a little high on idle when rolling roaded
4. Headlight aim adjuster


Shouldn't need much more than that. The reason i have put 500 more with mot is it will bring it near enough in line to want one of these would fetch with a mot if that makes any sense? The 3000 without mot is cheap considering i have just spent a fair bit getting the welding done. This is a decent S1 like i said further up it will never be a show stopper. Reason for sale i hear you ask? quite simple really we need the money to clear a few credit cards. Thanks for looking

Forgot to mention suspension done about 500 miles the shocks and springs were replaced with new items, also has a folder full of service history, hpi checks and all old mots

Thanks for sorting that out so sick of the idiots on here. I paid a tenner to advertise a car not to get abuse

 

This failed its mot on bad earth on the rear lights so it will have 12 months mot very soon

 

Now with 12 MONTHS MOT 3000 takes away!!!

i know its a bummer and the reason i need the money, plus the fuel is going up by 5p a litre dont you love this country!!
