No worries Paul, better get your gold membership and advertise it m8
A couple of things i should add after receiving a few questions
the window motor that has packed up is the drivers side rear , not the front one !
it does have rear parking sensors (as can be seen in the pictures)
the e39 540 is a 4.4 litre not a 4.0 litre like the ones fitted in the e34
these engines do NOT use oil like the m5 (it never uses a drop between servicing)
cheers

Team HOTHOT!
Had you not taken it off sale last year then It would of been sat on my driveway now....................However, since you did, I paid 4k more for a newer flavour 540i Sport (to be fair tho, Sport models DO command a premium over normal SE varietys)
Good luck
Good luck

Smit , tbh m8 its hard to describe , its got a firm but soft ride, it doesnt feel quick untill your in the passenger seat, its whisper quiet when gently cruising and roars like tony the tiger when the loud pedal gets squeezed !!

price is not negotiable , no matter how far away people are . a flight would only cost £40 and return fuel would be no more than £50

Just checked my user cp and seen I made a comment on this gorgeous BM in June. Surely it cant still be for sale.......it just cant? A car with such a huge spec, gorgeous looks, excellent performance for very little money.

usual story m8, its too expensive, insurance is too high, tax is going to cost more,it must be thirsty blah blah blah .
I have bought a new window motor for it now and hopefully any little scratches will be sorted today with a good mop and polish . this weekend we are going to have another go at sorting the pixel's out on the dash again after the last fuck up , will make sure the airbag light doesnt come on this time

Dan
I must admit im not keen on the e36's either, we just bought a compact for my old dear and it just doesnt seem to have the bmw feel im used too, even she doesnt like it and she didnt even pay for it!!
Insurance wise, i have 0 no claims and im paying £430 fully comp.
Compared to the m5 (which has turned into a complete nightmare)which was going to cost me £1200 fully comp i think its pretty cheap.
