ST24 Turbo... SOLD (well, given away)
This is a much regretted sale of my 1997 ST24 Turbo saloon in state blue, with less than 85k on the clock.
Bad points first...
I have holed some pistons on the way to the MOT so it will need new pistons - maybe time for some forged ones? So there is not tax or test on this.
The rest...
T28 turbo
26lb injectors
TurboXS BOV
TurboXS manual boost controller
Tial 38mm wastegate
Alloy intercooler
Sard fuel pressure regulator
255 lt / hr fuel pump
Quaife ATB diff
Uprated driveshafts (300 bhp)
SPEC stage 2 clutch (340Nm)
Autronic SM4 management
Bilstein lowered suspension (30mm)
Uprated front and rear engine roll restrictors
ST200 wheels including spare
BAER front brake upgrade (13" discs, twin pot calipers and braided hoses)
Spa Design dual digital gauges (fuel / oil pressure, boost / intake temp)
Innovate Motorsport AFR (LC-1 and XD-1)
3 gauge A-pillar gauge pod
K&N intake filter and breather filter
Stainless twin exit exhaust system with facility for decat pipe
Remote oil filter
Silicon / alloy boost pipes
Samco coolant hoses
New ignition module, coil pack, performance leads and plugs
Short-shifter gear lever
Blackeye headlights
The front tyres are Goodyear Eagle F1s with less than 50 miles on them, the rears are Marshall Power-Racer each with around 6mm tread left.
Also included in this sale will be:
A spare pair of Baer front discs
Greddy oil catch can
Chargecooler reservoir, pump, and cooler (if yoiu want to change back to chargecooling from intercooling)
Helix performance clutch and release bearing
Autronic electronic boost controller
Software for Autronic and Innovate AFR.
There are pictures on www.cardomain.com under ST24Turbo, but I will post more pictures later.
I have taken into account all the parts included and the work required plus towing / trailering so am asking, what I think is a reasonable price of £3000 for a performance / family car, plus spares.
Feel free to contact me for more details if needed. I am currently located in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.
Many Thanks

ST24 Turbo Update
Finally got some pics...
I've also had a rethink on the price - £2700 / but may be open to offers? For independant opinion on this car, ask xr-stu he's known it from the start.
Thanks

Hi CJ,
The car is using Autronic SM4 management - I am including all the software and maps in the sale.
When I had it originally mapped by Mark at MADevelopments near Reading (Autronic UK importer), who does mapping on the road, not on a dyno so thre is no print-out. We got the car to 210 bhp when the boost controller failed at 3 psi.
I have since replaced the controller and run between 5 - 10 psi boost. The output is now around 250 bhp.
Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,
It looks like an interesting car and good project for someone to fix and maybe get a little more out of e.g. going low comp and upgrading the turbo etc.... Would certainly be coming to have a look if it weren't for my present lack of employment
Good luck with the sale fella
Chris

Chris,
Agree, low comp and bigger turbo was my original plan, but I won't get around to doing it now. Another reason I didn't rebuild the engine myself - why waste time / money putting the 'wrong' pistons in (low comp / standard) if the new owner wanted the other type.
But then again, it would probably have more chance of selling if it was usable!
Good luck with the job hunt

Hi all,
This is back on eBay as a 'best offer'. Item 230347523515. Come on - make an offer, it has to go this week as I am emigrating.
One 'watcher' asked how much the turbo kit cost, and this got me thinking - you probably are ahead of me on this - but buying it for the parts will be cheaper than buying the parts new. They are also proven to work, and have done very few miles.
I started this project in 2005 and have only done around 1000 miles since then, if that - XR Stu can vouch for that.
The turbo kit, Quaife ATB, clutch, suspension, driveshafts, exhaust system, brakes and management probably cost around £8 - 9k

PassionFord Post Whore!!
are you on crack or something?! £500?! that wouldnt even buy you the quaife diff for christs sake! ontop of that youve got the autronic managment, gauges, clutch, wheels, brakes, turbo. there's several grands worth of parts alone, disregarding the fact £500 worth of engine and gearbox and youd have seriously nice ST24 which would fetch £1500-£2000 on its own without a problem.
if this doesnt sell for a reasonable price shortly, ill be buying it myself. paul, before you let it go, let me know what price its going for and ill se if i can match or better it.
