Caged up competition spec Mk3 Escort
For sale complete minus engine/box.
MSA competition log booked Mk3 FWD tarmac spec competition car (will make ideal track car)
Fully seam welded lightweight non sunroof shell.
Welded in converted Safety Devices cage with added bars
Full MEF suspension kit inc 909 front Bilsteins
Relocated alloy fuel cell with external areo filler cap.
Completely stainless braided throughout (both fuel and brakes)
Re located battery
Electric fire extinguishers
Electric E.T.A. cut offs (no pull cables)
Bias pedal box with rear disc conversion
B&M Quickshift
Stud and nut conversion hubs
Digital type dash
Competition seats (Motordrive)
Competition 3" 6 point LUKE belts
Completely re wired
lots more spec
Consistant finishes and numerous class awards since its complete ground up build by motorsport enthusiasts.

Sad day for me to see the escort up for sale but as Tony said he does'nt have the time to use it. Not sure what i can add to the thread that has'nt been said before about this car apart from there is not many escort's around that will out handle this car. I have been involved with this car from the day it was rolled in to the garage to be prepared and have a lot of fond memories of our day's out rallying and often giving a lot more expensive car's a run for there money with it. Whoever buy's this car is going to get a proper well proven package but if you do buy it and at some event or trackday you find a strange man crawling around under it please dont hit me to hard as i cant help myself it is just a bad habit i have. Thanks Barry (now redundant mechanic)
PS I think a nice 2 litre honda engine would go quite well in this car and be a nice reliable toy

I will always remember Abingdon Carnival rally overtaking a subaru rally car thinking this isn't right its a 1600 escort and well it was right. Ended up with a trophy cracking little car

It is structurally sound for its age though - inside and out.
There is one main battle scar on a side sill but it will come with the panel to fix it. I did that when it was running on Dunlop slicks
(the only time it has ever run on them) Usual rally interior (its a workhorse)
No engine/box so no test drives available.

Mate, I'm gutted and wish I had some pounds to keep this for myself..
This car has made ME.. Thanks so much for the experiences...
all our rallies, our trackdays and everything else..
I really wish I had the money to tuck TEPY in the garage for a while.
