Toyota MR2 Turbo
Due to work commitments and another car, my MR2 Turbo is now for sale.
The car is a 1993 Rev 2 Turbo in Astral Black. Mileage currently reads 130,297 km, which equates to approx. 81,000 miles. Comes complete with an MOT until 1st April 2009, and tax that expires at the end of November 2008. I am also the only UK owner of the car.

Specification is as follows:
Engine:
Standard Rev 2 Turbo engine that has been well maintained.
Cambelt change, alternator and air-con belts changed approx 800 miles ago. Complete clutch change at the same time as well as a full service including clutch master cylinder and fluid change, rocker cover gasket replacement, new HT leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm, plugs, and coolant replacement. Have also completed an additional oil service on the car today (17/08/08).
Modifications are an Apexi Power Intake Induction kit that is only six months old. Have also fitted a Fuel Cut defender, and the car comes with an HKS EVC III boost controller. The car is running at a nice and sensible 12 psi, and has been completely reliable throughout my custody.
Interior:
Standard Rev 2 Turbo interior.
Half leather interior, with everything as standard. Only alterations are a single CD JVC stereo, and the HKS EVC, which is hidden in the glove box for security reasons.
Security wise, the car comes complete with a Thatcham Cat 1 approved Sigma S30 alarm.
And yes, the standard flare is still there!
Only faults with the interior is that the driver’s seat has a lot of wear on one bolster, to the point where it has a small tear - would require repairing. The electric aerial also does not work, and I am guessing would require replacement. The air-con also requires re-gassing, but I simply haven't got round to having it done.
Exterior:
Standard exterior in Rev 2 Turbo spec.
Modifications consist of crystal clear front reflectors and 17” Wolfrace Asiatec alloys.
The alloys are in okay condition, with some kerbing, but the tyres are in good condition with plenty of tread. Fitted with 205/40/17 Khumo Ecsta SPTs on the front, and 215/40/17 Avon ZZ3 on the rear.
Bodywork wise, the car is in good condition. It as a few small parking dents and dings, and various light scratch marks. A small bit of time and attention would bring the car back very nicely, but I simply don’t have the time. I am looking to have the car professionally polished prior to sale unless someone takes it away before then, but I am trying to be as honest as possible, as the car is not in mint condition.
Car comes complete with a folder of receipts, MOTs, and even previous tax discs.
Overall, this has been one of the best cars I have owned. It has been reliable, and very fun to drive. I have used the car for daily driving as well as running it at Santa Pod, and a few track days in it, but that is why it has been maintained to a very good standard mechanically, and also why it has never let me down.
Unfortunately, I simply do not use the car because of my long working hours, and the fact that I already have another car to use. It seems a shame to leave it sitting there when someone could get the use out of it, which is why I am reluctantly putting it up for sale.
I am looking £3000 for the car, but I am open to offers.
