400BHP Moonstone 3dr Cossie CHEAP & BIG SPEC-NEW PICS P2
Spec is:
First registered on 9th January 1987 - D reg.
Currently declared SORN and the MOT expired on 22nd May.
Running a Harvey Gibbs 400 bhp engine (Graph states 406.6 BHP @ 6500rpm and 402.5 lb/ft @3520 rpm). Done approx 30k now with no issues. 200 block, ported/polished head. Mountune K2 inlet cam, vernier pulleys, WRC multi-layer head gasket, ISKV, 6 long studs, 400 motorsport blue injectors, lo-comp psitons, L6 ecu, live mapped by ahmed.
Brand New t34 with 0.63 exhaust housing last year - prob only done a 1000 miles if that.
Forge RS500 intercooler
Fully polybushed front to back
Full stainless Steel exhaust with 3" rolled pipe. Mongoose system.
Underbonnet bling
Stainless mirror image oil catch tank - looks similar to header tank.
Forge Motorsport Header tank and swirl pot
Stainless Breather System with braided hoses
Candy apple red cam cover
Le Mans Group A Dump Valve - very loud or you can take it off and listen to the flock of birds under the bonnet - lol
Strut Brace
Chrome RS slam panel blanking plates
Braided and Samco hoses hoses
2 stage boost switch in between the window switches
New genuine headlights as the old ones had discoloured.
Standard RS Cosworth wheels with very good tyres. Wheels prob could do with a refurb but still look good from a distance. Tyres are excellent.
Koni shocks and springs - very low but doesnt really catch. It was lower when i bought which was a right pain in the ass.
New fuel tank a few years ago. All the brakes were completely overhauled a few years ago. They are standard except for the rears which have grooved discs. The front pads are DS2500 and the rears are now standard.
Gearbox is a bit notchy, especially going into 3rd - i suspect it is the baulk rings but it has been like this ever since i bought it and has not blown up yet despite my best efforts there is a knack that you have to get used to, ie pretend to put the car into second then up into third.
Diff seems fine and doesnt whine
Alcon 6 plate paddle clutch - which slips now on anything more than 10psi on boost.
Currently has genuine RS500 front bumper and splitter. (Slight damage to bumper which is an easy repair) altho this may be removed before selling - im still deciding)
RS500 fog light grilles - will not be included in the sale - these will be replaced with standard fog lights.
Brand new electric aerial
Clear front indicators and standard rear lights. Tinted lights not included in sale. These have been removed. Clear square side repeaters.
Genuine RS500 lower rear spoiler.
RS ECU cover
Interior is good, except for the roof lining which is sagging. The drivers seat bolster has a small amount of wear to the cushion and a small mark on the fabric which will repair. I have spare seat bolster cushions at home which may be included if the price is right.
Currently have Oil Pressure, Oil Temp and Boost Autometer gauges where the heater vents used to be mounted on the black plate with RS embossed in the corner. Edit to add SECS monitor will be removed prior to sale.
There are a few minor scratches here and there. A tiny shopping trolley ding on the drivers door and little dent on the top of the A pillar caused by some piss head at a party falling onto the car. Some lacquer has lifted a little on the roof about the size of a 10p coin.
Bodywork wise it needs the front wing repairing after my little off at Coombe last year. The front bumper and grille also need painting. The passenger inner wing needs a plate welding as it has a crack. One rear chasis leg was welded a few years ago. There is a very small amount of surface rust by the boot lock and a small bit at the bottom of the drivers door. Ford Parts UK have quoted my £265 including VAT and delivery for a brand new N/S wing and inner wing. No idea if any other areas need welding as I have lost interest now and would rather just sell it complete. Needs a tlc in my opinion. Not a dog but not concourse mint either.
The parcel shelf has sagged from the middle - it is an easy repair but I never got round to it - probably because I had an acoustic shelf in there which is now sold.
There is no stereo and no speakers fitted. Dashboard only has a few minor cracks.
Is HPI clear - it was when I HPI'd prior to purchasing it. Still have the report. Prob best off doing your own anyway.
Comes with a binder full of history. The original service book is there but it looks like someone took a shit in it I have the original bill of sale too and the original spare wheel with the Dunlop D40 tyre still on it.
Private plate in pics not included. Im sure there is loads I have forgotten so will include if i remember.
Im looking for not a penny less than £6,000 so dont even bother trying to haggle. Dont want to deal with any timewasters and viewings will not be at the registered address for obvious reasons.
Call me if genuinely interested 07930 712023.
Now for some pics...

Car is cheap as it needs paint - i have refused to have it painted as knowing me I will end up doing a full strip down and rebuild on it and i dont have the time, cash or space to do that right now -- hence the sale.
If people want to offer me more - Im not gonna say no

forgot needs a clutch as currently has slipping Alcon 6 plate paddle.
It does need a little tlc and i dont have the time for it with my current commitments
I think it is a little too cheap to be honest and am still in doubts so may change my mind and pull the ad.
