For sale is my ash black escort cosworth it is M reg and is a large turbo

I have owned her for two and a half years now but it is now time to sell as i would like to have the focus rs.

I bought it standard looking and with the mods for 330 bhp but the chip was letting it down and holding it back on boost so i changed the chip and now is running 332bhp with graph last year i also had it rr and it was 338bhp so pretty much the same.

Mods:-

18" comps
quad lights
koni suspension with cobra springs
dark greens
3 map bar sensor
uprated fuel pump
mongoose exhaust
EA chip
pipercross air filter
A pillar pod with boost gauge

Earlier this year the head gasket went so it now has a cometic head gasket set put on along with new tappets, stem seals, cam belt etc what ever it needed i got it done.

The rear spoilers have been re painted from bubbling paint work and also the front bumper is painted it also did have rust on the drivers and passengers doors but that is also now gone, this has all been painted to a high standard and matches brilliantly. Bodywork is in great condition, it has mainly been used as a weekend car.

It has an alarm and tracker monitor fitted.

It has had an oil and filter changed every 4k using silkolene pros 10-50, i bought the car with 59k on the clock and it now has 76k so only 17k in 2.5 years. Recently changed both front track control arms as they were worn.
It has lots of history all bills from what i have done and lots from previous owners. Old mot's from 25k, it currently has 9 months mot and 5 months tax.

Is it the final realisation that there actually not worth what the owners are asking and that in order to shift them the prices get reduced???????????

I went to look at a k reg motorsport for 8k and there was nothing wrong with it, just had 4k pent on a full egine rebuild and turbo, 1k spent o respray a year ago, even the milage wasnt high at 70k

The used car market is always quiet this time of year. 90% of cars of this type struggle to sell. That doesnt mean there not worth it mate, as im pretty sure most good ones will no doubt sell in a few months time. People who are desperate to sell will always price them lower than its true worth, to get rid quickly, but people with these cars tend to persevere and wont let a good car go for peanuts, just because of the time of year, and rightly so imo.

Alps, if you went to look at one which was 8k with nothing wrong with it why didnt you buy it????? Mine is worth the price its up at ok i am open to offers as i would like to sell it quite quickly, but its not say a 12 grand car no way.

i have had peeps ring me asking what it is like and then saying well it doent have big brakes mate and i really wanted one with them on well in that case go pay £14+ grand for a esc cos with them on people want a mint cos, low miliage, all the spec for 12k it pisses me off.

Thanks lads, i was beginning to think i was over pricing it. Its hard to price it up when you look at others which look nice and have the same sort of bits for less money. I do think mine is clean and worth the money so i will hold out then. Cheers

you have been banging on about this for ages now, where's your mint low milage lux car for 9k? Oh, there isn't such a thing - If you want one, you buy one, simple , hence why prices remain high, as more people want one than are for sale, and if people DON'T sell them for the cash they want they keep them...... hardy a degree in economics is it?

A good escort cosworth will ALWAYS be worth top money, just look at 3 doors, a few years ago they were 4-5k for a rough one, hardy ANY for sale now, good ones are fetching9-10k+ easy. Also, remember a LOT of good quality cars never go up for sale, as they are sold before they are even for sale, RSOC cars tend to get sold to other members quite a lot......
