Big Spec S2,231BHP,60K Miles,best offer over SOLD......
Right today has been the final straw for me with my series 2
after fitting 2 new shocks,2 new track rod ends and a brand new toyo proxe tyre i now have problems with gear selection hence the low price
im asking for my car.
After spending a small fortune on this car and buying a new house i
can no longer justify spending any more money or time on my car so its
time to cut my losses and sell up.
The problem i have is changing up and down the gears,when the clutch is put down and i try to change gear it wont select but if the clutch is realeased and put down again it will go into gear,also if approaching lights or a junction with the clutch down sometimes the car wants to stall as if
the clutch hadnt been put down.
For this im sure its the cluch or realease bearing or both,the gearbox is a stage 2 box from the gearbox man which is just over a year old and has covered no more than 1500 miles same as the gear linkage which is a B+M quickshift.the cluch has been in the car for about 3 years and its a helix paddle clutch.
Heres the rest of the spec.
1.6 low comp,steel conrods, forged pistons
stage 3 T3,fully lightened and balanced,stage 4 head from race power motorsport,piper 285T2 cam,adj vernier,grp a coil.
Grs intercooler,pace alloy rad,spec r swirl pot,loads of under bonnet chrome,mongoose 4'' s/s exhaust.
koni adjustables on the rear,brand new genuine ford front shocks on the front,koni lowering springs -40mm,polybushes.
Brakes- Tar.ox 6 pots disc size unknown. drums on rear.
Interior total retrim in white leather with red piping and RS logo embrodered in headrests,chrome half roll cage with diagonal support.
I think that about covers it ther is 1 months tax and about 9 months mot,
this car really is absolutely mint with very low milage all the works and parts are receipted i bought this car a standard series 2.ive owned the car now for 4 and half years and it was featured in performance ford in june last year.
Some one with the time and enthiusam will be getting an absolute bargain,
the car was previously for sale for £4650,im now looking for best offer over 3k because of the gear selection problem and my toatl lack of
intrest in the RST,as i said today was the final straw for me so its time to cut my losses.

what a beautiful car this is its a shame your selling it mate i think this is about the only s2 id consider having instead of my cossie always seen this at shows etc and it always impresses good luck with the sale mate someone will deffo get a bargain here it just sounds like the release bearing has worn the splines on the pressure plate down
