Ford Mondeo - Ideal Run around!
First the details:
- 1996 N Mk1 Ford Mondeo Ghia
- 5 Speed manual
- 2.5 Duratec V6
- 2 Former Keepers
- MOT until Feb 2007
- Tax Until January 2007
- 137,000 Miles (But dont let this put you off!)
- Full service history up to 120,814 (The car was serviced again but not stamped at around 128,000)
- Air con (works perfectly)
- Electric windows all round
- Electric Sunroof
- Electric drivers seat
- Traction control
- Heated front and rear screen
- Front fog lights
- Recent Pirelli tyres all round (receipt included)
- Brand new battery fitted around 6 months ago (reciept included with 2 yr warranty)
- Standard Ford alarm and immobiliser and remote key included (needs battery)
This is a great reliable car, perfect for a runaround! My gf has owned it for around 18 months and its never broke down once!
Do not let the milage put you off, these are strong engines! The car has 2 faults:
- The cat is on its way out and we was advised at its last MOT that it will need replacing (£80 brand new pattern on ebay or as little as £10 second hand!).
- The car suffers a slight hesitation from cold. I think this is a sensor problem, just havent bothered to investigate it. It only lasts a couple of mins before the car warms up. Litterally once your at the top of the road the car runs fine.
Note: The stereo and CD changer are not included and will be removed from the car before sale. The standard ford unit (which works perfectly) will be put in its place. I have modified the wiring so that it will accept either a standard ford headunit or a plug in ISO aftermarket stereo - All the hard work has been done (neat and tidy!) Just plug in and go!
Bodywise the car has just had a valet service by AndyH_ZS see here for more details:

These are great cars and exceptional value for money. Idea for a run around or even better if you need something with a bit of comfort and power to tow
£900 ONO.
