Default XR3i

1989 G reg EFi
Diamond White
Only 69k with full and comprehensive service history
Totally standard, no modifications at all (original exhaust, stereo etc)
All electrics and heated front screen
Ford original spotlights
5 original alloy wheels in good condition with excellent pirelli tyres
Recent cambelt and clutch
just had rear arches professionally replaced as they had started to bubble slightly (as they all do)
Interior is in exceptional condition, seats and dash totally unmarked
Engine pulls well, as you would expect of such a low mileage car with no leaks, rattles or smoke
could definitely be displayed at ford shows with very little money spent
Folder full of receipts and all old mots etc
Becoming a classic
£1200 ono

hey
thanks guys
she's a lovely car
I did have the intention of turning it into an RST (like everyone does)
but tbh she is far too good to lose its identity
It really needs to be kept as an XR, as you say they are few and far between, especially in this condition

It will be a great purchase for whoever buys her
Cheers

I really could do with selling now, under intense pressure from the Missus
first sensible offer over a £1000 gets her, (the car, that is! the missus you can have for nowt! )

The car is absolutely rock solid, just had arches replaced, engine is fantastic, interior immaculate, its got to be one of the best totally standard and original examples around.

The bloke who did the arches, commented on its condition and said he has seen XR3i's go for around the £2k mark at shows that arent nearly as good as mine.

If someone is willing to do a few minor touch ups, Im confident they could virtually double their money on this.

I just cant afford to wait till the show season, or I would do the same

even if somebody wanted a solid base for an rst transplant, this is the one, although it really is a top class example of an XR3i which are getting a lot rarer to find as good as this

At this price its a real bargain

thanks

Damian

Default value of xr3i

hi all this post has really cheered me up, i purchased a 1990 unmodded xr3i recently, but could not find any adverts or info on what price was reasonable to pay prior to purchase.

i do seem to see cabrolet vertions about and the odd xr2 but not many xr3is though.

thank you

your welcome mate
It was a cracking car, and very good condition.
Im glad its gone to a good home.
I do miss it, but I have bought myself a mint XR2i in Mercury grey with only 42000 miles with FSH.
So everyones happy, result

I only buy/sell low mileage mint cars mate
the XR2i is up for sale if anyones interested
1990
mercury grey
42000 miles with full and comprehensive service history
totally standard and unabused (apart from clear indicators but originals included in sale)
All old bills and mot's
been told its concourse condition by the fiesta people on fiestaguides, but personally think its not quite that standard, but could be for very little spent
It is mint however and there is not 1 bit of rust to be found anywhere
engine is sweet as a nut (as you would expect having covered less than 3000 miles a year)
Interior doesnt even look sat in
Everything works perfectly
This is the original timewarp car, straight out the box
By far the best XR2i I have ever seen
Offers invited around £1500
heres a few pics
pm if you want more
cheers
Damian
