Default Raceline RL7 17"

Toying with a set of Raceline RL7 again.

Ideal wheels would be 8x17" ET30 - 35

Made of Alloy only, unless magnesium made but would have to be perfect and the wheels in refurbished condition

Preferred colours Gold, anthracite or silver

With or without tyres

Cheers

Chris,I was looking for a set of these with not much luck.Gary (rs classics) had some with tyres before xmas and I agonised over them as I didn't really want the tyres, somebody else then bought them..lol.
I'm still looking for another set of wheels but am struggling on what style I want.
I thought you were happy with your new comps?
Anyway,good luck with your search.

Thanks.Lee.

There is/was a set on eBay on the weekend but the seller doesn't know what they are and are advertised as speedlines. Will have a look at post the link when I'm home.

The price has to be right on these wheels as they become uneconomical if they need refurb'd and decent rubber

You have to be so careful as i was told that even the 17" had Mag content in, not as much as the 18". So can the 17" be powdercoated as i had a set of Mag 18" and the refurb was Ł400 then rubber on top so i sold them on.

I'd be checking for cracks if they have been losing air they go on the rear lip of the rim and on the edge of the spokes.

Ideally Ear's rims are full alloy so i was told but also rare.

They have some chips around the edge so will need a refurb, no cracks in the rims or spokes that I can see, these are EARS MOTORSPORT items

Mine are ears and are definetly alloy. Mine have the original paint as their virtually new and the finish is rubbish! It's like a White plastic similar to a washing machine paint! My powder coater reckons they need a good sand blasting before paint.
Muddysport on eBay often has ears for sale.

cheers for that rich ,i wasnt sure tbh .

i was told if you drill a small hole at the end of the crack to stop it spreading then cut out the crack and weld it .

have you any idea on cost mate?

Not really sure mate the I know Craig @ Dyno Torque quite well so it didn't cost me anything.
When he did mine he cut into the cracks quite abit then filled gap and smoothed it back.
I can ask him how much he'd want for you mate.
