Default 1988 3 door Ford Escort estate 1.3

Hi,

I've got a 3 door Ford Escort estate 1.3 popular with a genuine 45k on the clock. I moved from southwest England to Dublin last year and left my car behind. I'd like to bring the car over with me but I've only managed to find one Irish insurance company, Briton, that will insure me and they wanted about 1,000 euros.

Does anyone know of any companies that will insure me in the ROI?
Alternatively is there anyway I can avoid the Irish VRT?

Hi Rob, I was quoted 1000 euros for insurance for the year and decided it just wasn't worth it. Shame because I was up in West Wales with it last week and could have got the Ferry across. Ended up taking it back to my Dad's house in Devon. I'd take 350 for it if you want to collect it. I'm back in ireland now but my dad would be around. It's been stood at his house for most of the past 10 months but it ran fine when I was back over for a few days last week. The Tax has just run out and the horn has stopped working but I haven't had chance to look at it yet. One of the front indicators is cracked and needs replacing but it passed it's mot with an advisory on it. Both bumpers are also cracked. The front two tyres are only just road legal and there is some rust under one of the arches. Apart from the above it's a very clean and straight car. I'm a bit gutted to be getting rid of it. There's also a box full of stuff to service the car, oil, brake fluid, Haynes manual, etc. And a wash kit and T-cut.

Hey! This is interesting. I am reading through all your theories and many of your suggestions have logic. I still see a lot of gaps in this case. I just do not understand why the police did not take into account some very obvious things. I am from https://worldpostalcode.com/united-s...ornia/san-jose , and we had a very similar story here just a few years ago. I need to go and dig it out.
