Default mk6 scort

Hi, Bought a new car today which is a mk6 escort si, 69k on the clock and two owners which I'm over the moon with. I want to keep it standard looking but just tidy it up a bit and give it a few subtle mods when the cash allows. First thing i want to do is to remove the black side trim along the two front wings, doors and rear quarters but I'm unsure whether they have been drilled on or glued/stuck on by the manufaturer.
I owned an old mk4 xr3i which were stuck on and when i removed them it looked so clean compared to previous.

Anyone removed these in the past and mind giving a heads up? Would be much appreiciated.
Cheers, Nick
