my escorts devoloped a small knocking noise after letting of the power or after breaking but not when applying power or braking or on the clutch, i know i have a squeeky engine mount could this be the problem? it tends to do it all the time and it makes the dash rumble if ive gave the car abit of stick anyone have idea what it could be?

 

could be anything check the cv joint and struts but as you said your engine mount is dodgy check that rev the car and see what the engine is doing
