Default Carb conversion... is it possible?

As question on topic. Sorry if my post is not in the correct section.

Could you help a ford enthusiast with a proyect? Here are the details:

I have a Zetec RoCam 1.6 8v 4 cyl engine, like the one used in the sportKa...

Now, I've decided to make a conversion to carbs, but... how do I get around to fitting a distributor? That engine is Distributorless Ignition System, so...

Is it really worth it or Am I wasting my time, money and efforts?

Hoping to receive feedback on this matter.

Not worth effort. For a start it will fail the emisison with carbs. Second you will need an aftermarket ECU (for the ignition) and to get round the problems of sensor sharing with the standard ECU. You will gain pretty much nothing power wise too.
