I love this sort of thing. It makes me laugh really, as so many people say that modern cars are too complicated, and here you are putting this gearbox into your car. Just shows that, where there's a will, there's a way. If only more people in rallying were willing to try things.
Ratios are pretty good to be fair, apart from 1st is short and 7th is long but, changing gear in 1st to 2nd takes 50ms.
1st is 4.8:1, 7th is 0.67:1. All inbetween is a closer version of what I have now.
Really I will have a close ratio 5 speed (2-6th) with an easy launch gear in 1st that will shift seamlessly to 2nd. Certainly 6 usable gears for a rally car.
