i didn't necessarily mean direct benefits in that sense, more things like libraries, education, roads, health care, emergency services etc etc. stuff that people take for granted in their cozy first world existence but have to be paid for somehow
i hardly think politicians get rich directly from taxes - they have a fixed salary. those that are wealthy have not often got wealthy from their salary but often from family money, personan engagements etc, and yes i'm sure there are plenty of other ways in which money comes their way, but to constantly go on about it coming out of taxes like you do is not right
