I don't think so. The flash memory acts as a cache for the most frequently used files which is managed by the firmware on the drive. So I can't see how you could fill it, and if you could it would still load the things its filled with faster than normal.
However, proper benchmark tests show they are nowhere near SSD in terms of performance, but they are only £10-£20 more than a similar sized HDD so it's worth a go.
