Didnt like the way he said it would be upgraded every year. Whos gonna fork out money every year.
If sony develop one, it would have the potential to steal their thunder and sell more of them than the oculus.

The oculus has been in testing prototype stage for ages, so maybe they just dont have the backing and funds. Im not being funny, but it only takes over from your right stick on your controller with built in screens. Thats what everything has shown so far.

I cant see what is taking them so long. If they only aim at the pc market less developers with add the oculus to their games. Without the great games it will never be success
ok, you are completely misinformed on this one.

The dev model runs a 400p monitor, this is what they have been using and showing.
The actually release is going to be 1080p. 1080p rendering full 3d. There are games on both consoles already that can't even do 1080. Plus the display is split, so the two halves of the screen are rendering different things.

Also it has head trackers and motion sensors inside it, For example i've seen people playing first person shooters where the view point changes but the gun doesn't. The movement of where the weapon is pointing is dictated by the mouse. So for example you can shoot forward whilst looking over your shoulder. So its far more than just a replacement for the right analogue stick.
It is taking so long because VR technology on this level is new. There is so much to account for including removing any type of latency to the headset. Even the slightest hint of movement lag would make it pointless.

As for less developers on PC I do hope that is a joke. There are more driving sims, flight sims and FPS' on pc than both consoles combined.

Even two of the games you are most looking forward to (bf4 and titanfall) are both on PC.
