Now I have seen the same problem on other threads/forums but no one seems to come up with a definite answer as to what is causing it, like some people say it's the master cylinder, some say the pedal box and others say it's the slave cylinder?

Any help would be appreciated.

Also The car is a "59" plate with 16k miles.

Thanks!
It's the spring in the pedal box goes week , would need to remove the pedal box to change the spring

It's the only cure I have heard of that works mine does the same but not bothered me

Once I have used the pedal once it's fine for the rest of the day
