Never looked into this and am quite intrigued.
the benefit is the strength of the diff, i have run 760 rear hub hp 650 rear hub lb ft torque through a supra diff, it had a carbonetic lsd but crownwheel and pinion where stock and it never broke, it also ran 295/30/19 r888 rear tyres and clean hooked in third in the dry, ive had a few cossies and i dont personally think any 7.5" cossie diff no matter how its uprated would take that ammount of power.
