Unless youre earning shit loads and can soak up the silly insurance, i see no sensible reason to buy a different performance car until youre older.
The sensible thing to do would be build up the cossie over the next few years and when youve passed your test, drive a shitter to build up no claims and driving experience.
If youre clever with youre money and save a bit so you can buy cheap cossie bits for cash when they come up on here or ebay etc then you will be able to build up the cossie for sensible money by getting a good deal on the big and rare bits by having some cash to spare at the right time.
I presume youre doing all the labour yourself and with youre mates? if so its a good hobby and youll learn shit loads along the way.
Also when you do get the car on the road, it will likely be more reliable as youll know it inside out so it wont be bodged to fuck.
you buy a old second hand RS turbo and you will spend most youre spare time fixing it up, while being broke paying for insurance at a young age.
