No Biggie is what i thought 100% but he was winding me up the rest is history, it took me till 4th because i was spinning all the way from the start 30 psi isnt the most gentle of boosts when it drops in, plus ive got a standard XR3i box at the moment and the ratios are completely different, im due my new gearbox this friday, my clutch is also slipping very very slightly and my fly wheel has already been skimmed twice, in short from when i got my car back to now, i can feel the difference in grab on the clutch, so i went for a brand new one made of billet, hardened nose barring, high pressure clutch plate, and CTS stage 2 Plus gearbox, i also got the quick shift conversion kit to remedy the 2nd to 3rd gear changes. i should have all of it and fitted the following monday or turesday next week, lol i was actually trying to strip 5th gear the other day but somehow the box is holding up, the only thing that has started to give way is the clutch.
I never really wanted to spend more money on her but with the power and spec ive got 300bhp @ 331 lb/ft its only so long before you boot it and 5th strips or the box blows up, like i said the clutch is on its way out and it really needs doing, the other thing thats tells me the clutch is slipping is the speed differences at 3,000 revs, sometimes its 64 MPH and sometimes its 70 MHP also the wheel spin factor still happens but it happens later on higher up the gear range, really looking forward to feeling the new box when its put in.
I let lesser cars go and carry on but when its a stupid plastic Saxo or a haird dryer corsa provoking you on a semi congested motorway then its simply game on.
