There are many far worse things than using a mobile whilst driving. And the actual offence is a whopping great grey area. If you literally touch your phone whilst driving, a wanker cop can treat that the same as someone in a full blown conversation/texting session whilst driving.
Nope, not the same thing. And drink offences are another crock of shit. Why they treat someone who is totally competent and capable just at or over the legal limit the exact same as someone who cant see or stand, blind drunk, again just baffles me.
The government have no real notion about road safety or how to improve things, nor do they care. It's just a case of dreaming up new legislation to fine motorists. And when they have idiot support, they'll get away with it
