Women should have their eggs harvested and stored at multiple locations (in case of storage facility failure) and then all be sterilised, if they want a kid they apply for a license along with the father and if its approved they get back eggs to fertilise.
I'd also scrap a lot of university places and put emphasis back into the further education system, with apprenticeships and try and get some value into some honest graft. We shouldn't need thousands of migrants doing vocational jobs, we should be training our own young people to do them
Very good call, im a massive fan of higher education, but I dont think it should be viewed as the automatic preferential path, too many people are goign to uni and failing who would be better off doing something else and passing!
rather than telling them all to go to university and get a degree in computer games design, drama, psychology or the other faddy subjects. Course places should be capped unless the qualification would be in a useful subject, so universities produce teachers, nurses, doctors and engineers, not a load of people who have a useless degree in a pointless subject area.
Agreed, any state funded education should be potentially useful not just a hobby, if people want to study "just because" that is absolutely fine, but the tax payer shouldnt fund it.
Also, scrap road tax altogether as it serves no purpose. Road users should be taxed based on mileage, so just have road tax as part of the fuel duty system, so the more fuel you burn, the more you pay. And the proceed go on maintaining and improving the road network, as well as making public transport better, which may encourage people to use it more.
I pay well over 1000 quid a year in roadtax currently and yet only drive one vehicle at a time, so your scheme would suit me, but I do actually think its a bad as a whole idea despite how it would suit me as i think that people need to be discouraged from having loads of cars lieing around for no good reason, if tax was free then parking in congested areas would be even worse. So I think if anything road tax should go up, despite the fact I would be one of the eggs cracked to make that particular ommelette. All my thoughts though are based on what is best for the country not for myself, thats why I'd never get anywhere in real politics!
But 100% of road tax and fuel tax should be spent on the transport system definately!
