ive heard the one about the compressor wheels splitting, but never seen it? does sound like a couple of failures though, i wonder if they were running restrictors in the oil supply? ive had a few garrets been a bit oily, cured by a restrictor in the supply, a turbo doesnt need loads of oil to survive. intresting though, thanks.
