Both these things will no doubt affect some peoples purchasing decision when it comes to buying an ECU.

Had you not asked the question these 'issues' would not have come into the public domain.

Where I have no doubt Axel F is correct in what he's saying, I'm not sure about Ryan... in fact he's not sure himself but he was still happy to make the statement regardless.

You see at the time The Youths engine builder could have called when Dave was having a shit, or he could have been sat in a car at 7300 rpm on the rollers and it wasnt convenient to talk, he could have suggested that the builder call Newman to get the answer he needed quickly, thus giving the best service in the circumstances, that part of the story is not told, all we know is he refused to come to the phone and we interpret this as him being arsey in some way.

Personally I like my information as close to the source as possible to ensure that 'Forum Flannel', the digital 'Pub Talk', doesnt lead me down the garden path.
you come across as an inteligent guy in practically all the posts you post in when you offer advice, from what i have seen, but i'm sure that if he was having a shit or mapping a car the secretary cold have ofered a "he's a little busy right now, can you leave you name and number and he'll call you back when he's free/can you call back in an hour? alternativly, here is the manufacturers number for the cam in question if you need it"
?

that would have been a much better way, i think, to have put it

from the information we have in front of our screens now, it seems that the secreatry is doing a good job of alienating memebrs of the public while dave is too busy writng stuff for his column
not
dave is swapped with work as everyone thinks he's a star so if it's a little hard to get hold of him it's a reasonable expectaion given the ammount of work he needs to do

peole wouldn't get the same answer from martin, or stu, or mike would you? because you know if peole did, it would have been all over the internet 5 seconds later and their reputations would take a hammering

dave is not one of the biggest names here so his secretary palming someone off with a shity excuse isn't going to turn into a 58 page thread about how shit a service he's suddenly started to provide as only about 5 members out of 30,000 seem to have used his products
